The coupe models feature a sloped rear hatch shape and four doors, despite the "coupe" name. The sloped roof reduces cargo area height, but total volume is reduced by only about 2 cubic feet.
Available in both rear-wheel drive or 4MATIC all-wheel drive, the GLC300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and produces 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, which is available at only 1,800 rpm. The powertrain features five distinct driving modes including Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual, which allows drivers to fine-tune responsiveness in the throttle, steering and suspension systems.
